Foreword

When I was writing this book on Electronic Navigation, I didn't go deep
into the technical details of the devices. Because it is limited to controlling
maintenance and repair insurances and antenna connections that can be
made by ship personnel. If the devices are tampered with other than
authorized services, the seaworthiness of the ship may be canceled.
What we need to know as a user is the working principle, weaknesses,
errors and how to use them. Some devices, such as electronic charts,
have very rich menus. It is not possible to tell them all, also these menus
changes on every device. For such devices, I have explained the menu,
signs and symbols from IMO. After you know them, when you look at the
operation manual of the ship on the ship, you will be able to use the
device in a short time.

If you successfully use the devices on the bridge, you will be a successful
officer.
